Fatima,Part III Conclusion

Oct 13th,1917 the last apparition of Fatima
After our Lady had disappeared into the immense distance of the firmament, we beheld St. Joseph with the Child Jesus and Our Lady robed in white with a blue mantle, beside the sun. St. Joseph and the Child Jesus seemed to bless the world, for they traced the Sign of the Cross with their hands.
The Rosary and Reparation for sin are the main messages of Fatima;the final apparition includes St Joseph and the child Jesus. This is another reason Fatima is probably more important in our times than in the times in which the apparitions occurred. St Joseph was the protector of both Our Blessed Mother and child Jesus. He was going to divorce Mary quietly until he had a dream. The law would have permitted him to divorce her and shame her publicly. He was going to divorce her quietly. He obeyed God and did not. He protected Mary and Jesus as His earthly father. This is a message for our times. We have accepted contraception, divorce and abortion permitting men to abandon the role of father. We have replaced the family with genocide. We are beginning to abandon marriage with acceptance of same sex relationships. The same sex advocates argue that their being able to be called married is a marriage right; they are not doing this because they want to elevate marriage but because they want society to accept a perversion. Children deserve to grow up in a family with mom and dad. They should not be subjected to people who mimic those roles to fulfill an agenda. St Joseph and the child Jesus appearing and giving their blessing with Mary at their side is a message re what it means to be a man. Men are made as protectors of women and children. When there is a life and death situation it's why we say women and children first. Jesus could have come into the world to save us any way He chose BUT he came into the world through a woman and lived in a family. The acceptance of same sex relations especially a so called marriage is a direct attack on family along with abortion, contraception and cohabitation, sex outside of marriage, pornography and divorce. In some cases divorce may be justified(the Church does grant annullments)however we see now that the divorce rate among Catholics is as high as the divorce rate among the general population. Something is wrong. Now to another critical message of Fatima. The chastisement and warnings if we don't change...if we don't repent. The first is the vision of hell:(even an non believer can recognize evil in the world)Referred to as the First Secret. "Our Lady showed us a great sea of fire which seemed to be under the earth. Plunged in this fire were demons and souls in human form, like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, floating about in the conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames that issued from within themselves together with great clouds of smoke, now falling back on every side like sparks in a huge fire, without weight or equilibrium, and amid shrieks and groans of pain and despair, which horrified us and made us tremble with fear. The demons could be distinguished by their terrifying and repulsive likeness to frightful and unknown animals, all black and transparent. This vision lasted but an instant. How can we ever be grateful enough to our kind heavenly Mother, who had already prepared us by promising, in the first Apparition, to take us to heaven. Otherwise, I think we would have died of fear and terror."
The Second Secret warns about communism and it's spread throughout the world: "You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The war is going to end: but if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the Pontificate of Pius XI. When you see a night illuminated by an unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God that he is about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, and persecutions of the Church and of the Holy Father. To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of reparation on the First Saturdays. If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred; the Holy Father will have much to suffer; various nations will be annihilated. In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she shall be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world."
The Third Secret reveals a prophecy about an attack on the Church itself: "After the two parts which I have already explained, at the left of Our Lady and a little above, we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand; flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire; but they died out in contact with the splendor that Our Lady radiated towards him from her right hand: pointing to the earth with his right hand, the Angel cried out in a loud voice: ‘Penance, Penance, Penance!' And we saw in an immense light that is God: ‘something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it' a Bishop dressed in White ‘we had the impression that it was the Holy Father'. Other Bishops, Priests, Religious men and women going up a steep mountain, at the top of which there was a big Cross of rough-hewn trunks as of a cork-tree with the bark; before reaching there the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins and half trembling with halting step, afflicted with pain and sorrow, he prayed for the souls of the corpses he met on his way; having reached the top of the mountain, on his knees at the foot of the big Cross he was killed by a group of soldiers who fired bullets and arrows at him, and in the same way there died one after another the other Bishops, Priests, Religious men and women, and various lay people of different ranks and positions. Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God"
Other approved visionaries, mystics and messages from Our Lady also have dire warnings. You can read in greater detail here: Messages from Mary There is a common thread in other messages from various mystics and saints, that of a coming chastisement. "God will punish the world when men have devised marvelous inventions that will lead them to forgetting God. They will have horseless carriages, and they will fly like birds" Blessed Rembordt - Eighteenth Century
You can read these other warnings here: Prophecy A special note as a conclusion; Sr Lucia agreed that Blessed John Paul did the consecration and it was accepted by Heaven. It is also very possible that Blessed John Paul was the 'bishop in white' mentioned in the 3rd secret:
(1) If in the vision Lucia saw the pope being shot and falling over, she might well have thought that he had been killed even though in reality he would only be gravely wounded. (2) The intercession of Mary may have changed what would have happened. After he read the third secret, John Paul II attributed his survival to Mary guiding the bullet so that he did not die. Then-Cardinal Ratzinger commented: "That here ‘a mother’s hand’ had deflected the fateful bullet only shows once more that there is no immutable destiny, that faith and prayer are forces which can influence history and that in the end prayer is more powerful than bullets and faith more powerful than armies" (Ratzinger, MF, op. cit.).

More on the role of motherhood and the Church's honor of Mary in the next blog. We exalt Mary because God exalted her first.
