Fatima,the message Part II

We know that the prophecies of Fatima came true. It's documented. We know that the miracle of the sun took place because it was witnessed both by the faithful and the skeptical(many of whom were anti Catholic). The Church approved the Apparitions and encourages the devotions associated w/ Fatima-the 2 children are Blessed and on the road to Canonization. That said,what is most important about Fatima is the message. It is a message for our time. I want to examine what i believe to be the most important messages of Fatima and how relevant they are today. First,that we ought to pray the rosary. On Oct 13th Our Lady revealed herself as Our Lady of the Rosary. She told the children many souls went to hell because there was nobody to pray for them. In the hedonistic and immoral times we live in the rosary is very important. One of the 15 promises of Our Lady to those who recite the rosary is The Rosary shall be a powerful armor against hell, it will destroy vice, decrease sin and defeat heresies. Source: Our Lady's 15 promises 2. One of the visions the children were given was a vision of hell.it is considered the 1st secret of Fatima.

Sr Lúcia describes this in her Third Memoir, as follows: "Our Lady showed us a great sea of fire which seemed to be under the earth. Plunged in this fire were demons and souls in human form, like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, floating about in the conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames that issued from within themselves together with great clouds of smoke, now falling back on every side like sparks in a huge fire, without weight or equilibrium, and amid shrieks and groans of pain and despair, which horrified us and made us tremble with fear. The demons could be distinguished by their terrifying and repulsive likeness to frightful and unknown animals, all black and transparent. This vision lasted but an instant. How can we ever be grateful enough to our kind heavenly Mother, who had already prepared us by promising, in the first Apparition, to take us to heaven. Otherwise, I think we would have died of fear and terror."[19] The second secret included Mary's instructions on how to save souls from hell and convert the world to the Christian faith, also revealed by Lúcia in her Third Memoir: "I have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace. The war is going to end: but if people do not cease offending God, a worse one will break out during the Pontificate of Pius XI. When you see a night illuminated by an unknown light, know that this is the great sign given you by God that he is about to punish the world for its crimes, by means of war, famine, and persecutions of the Church and of the Holy Father. To prevent this, I shall come to ask for the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of reparation on the First Saturdays. If my requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred; the Holy Father will have much to suffer; various nations will be annihilated. In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to me, and she shall be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world."[20]

Source:Our Lady of Fatima The rosary is beneficial to us,but also beneficial to the souls we pray for. Our Lady imparted to the children, "Do not offend the Lord our God any more, for He is already too much offended!" She specifically mentioned immodesty.

Our Lady of Fatima: More souls go to hell for sins of the flesh than for any other reason. Our Lady of Fatima to Jacinta: Certain fashions will be introduced which will offend Our Divine Lord very much. Those who serve God ought not to follow these fashions. The Church has no fashions. Our Lord is always the same. Our Lady of Fatima to Jacinta: Woe to women wanting in modesty. Our Lady of Fatima to Jacinta: Many marriages are not of God and do not please Our Lord.

Source: Age of Mary,Impurity We can see with our own eyes how depraved the culture has become and the blasphemy committed against Jesus and His Mother.There is no way on earth we can't see how immodest fashions have become. Our children are being assaulted on many levels especially impurity.We definitely know the Church is being attacked,even from within(the scandals). All this is reason to pray the rosary and make reparation. The message of Fatima is extremely important today. We will conclude in Part III tomorrow.
