I saw this juxtaposition of quotes about the Supreme Court’s DOMA decision at Pundit and Pundette: Pres. With this decision we are about to sink even lower. God help us.” He said that he thinks it is clear that the rulings are “going to make it far more difficult for those who defend marriage.” Asked how the rulings will affect the Catholic Church in the United States, Fr. Fessio remarked that they “will call forth saints and scholars who will ‘shine like the stars in the midst of a wicked and perverse generation’. They will also be humiliated and very likely, in time, persecuted. Welcome to the Brave New World.”

Which reminds me.I swear it was candidate Obama who gave the impression he supported DOMA. I also swear it was Pres Obama who said the judgement on when life begins was "above his pay grade." He gave the impression he was not pro abortion.Or at least he tried to weasel on both of these issues so that people who were pro life and supported DOMA would not catch on to where he really stood.They were duped.I hate to say this but their being duped is as much their responsibility as his.It's not as if you couldn't look into his more radical views.The lame stream media[ that supported him]covered up for him BUT you could still get info if you wanted to. I am also totally baffled by Justice Roberts-a Bush appointee.What a mistake he was.Don't assume because someone is Catholic that they're faithful to the Church and UNDERSTAND her teachings. My take on Roberts is that he's in the tank for Obama and the Church means nothing to him. He joins the club of Pelosi,Biden and Kerry. Look,folks,the Church is very compassionate about people who suffer from same sex attraction. Catholic organizations such as Catholic Relief Services has done incredible work for people across the globe who have been inflicted with the HIV virus.We know that it was widespread among the homosexual population. They have never discriminated even when very little was known about the HIV virus. So to say the Church is bigoted is nonsense. She does all she is able to help people who have the disorder. This does not mean she is going to change her teachings re same sex attraction. The Catholic Church does all she is able to help people who have the disorder. She certainly reflects in her teaching and documents the compassion and mercy of Christ-but like Christ she proclaims.Go and sin no more! You do not have to be religious-much less Catholic-to GRASP why same sex couples cannot be 'married' UNLESS you redefine marriage;which gives it no meaning at all.Obama tweeted recently: Barack Obama ‏@BarackObama 26 Jun

It's clear.He supported same sex 'marriage' all along.If you really want to know his pov on many issues just read his tweets.It's the real Barrack Obama. If marriage is just defined as who you "love" (meaning who you lust for)there's no reason not to say that one can love 2 husbands,3 wives, minors and close relatives. If that's as far as the definition goes than the REAL meaning of marriage- one man and one woman for life- goes out the window.Love can be twisted around to mean all kinds of things. The worst part of all this is that Obama lied and led many people to believe he was someone he was not. He's a good speaker(generally dependent on a teleprompter though)but a LIAR. Let's also consider that a marriage is considered a marriage upon consummation.In fact if a couple chooses to they can file for divorce using non consummation as grounds. It should be very simple for same sex 'couples' to file for divorce since it is simply NOT POSSIBLE under ANY circumstances to do so. Not one single 'gay couple' will be able to consummate their 'marriage.' You have to ask yourself. Who would NOT defend marriage?
